  • A doula is a trained professional who provides dynamic support, encouragement, and education to families before, during, and after labor and birth.

  • No medical background is required, and you don’t need to have a child of your own. Many doulas come from diverse careers and life experiences; what matters most is compassion, communication, and the willingness to learn.

  • With Rachel’s background as both a birth worker and an educator, she offers real-world insight, and a supportive space for growth and professional development.

  • ProDoula trainings cover the role of a doula, comfort measures, communication with clients and medical teams, navigating birth options, postpartum care, business basics, and more.

  • Upon completion of the training you will then have to pass an examination in order to achieve certification. Once you pass your exam you will be certified through ProDoula, the organization whose curriculum these trainings use.

  • Both options are available. You can choose the format that works best for your schedule and learning style!

  • This is a 2-day, 20 hour training.

  • You can find the links to ProDoula on the ‘Trainings’ page of My Doula Trainer. Spots are limited to keep the learning environment intimate and interactive.

  •  Yes. Many doulas build thriving practices, either independently or through agencies. ProDoula also shares business tools and mentorship guidance to help you succeed.

  •  We will cover networking, marketing, and building referral relationships during the training, so you leave with a toolkit for getting started.
